I Went all Olivia Benson on them!

(This was from last night. I posted it last night on my Facebook. I figured this would be a great post here too!)

YES!!! I cought them red handed!!! Litterally...

explain myself just a little......

Behind my duplex-style apartment is what I always thought was some kind of school or alternative school. It's separated by our wooden privacy fence and a taller chain-length fence. Late last night, after about 9:30pm... Joe and I heard a loud THUD and thought that while Morgan was cleaning her room, a shelf fell or something. It wasn't that. We checked on her and Joe even looked out the back door and saw nothing.. then again, he didn't turn on the backlight either...

It happened two more times and I turned on the back light and there were cola cans all OVER the back yard.. about 6 of them. Some were empty, some where full and shaken. Looking through the slots of the fence, I could see a group of kids over near some swings. As I picked them up and gathered them into one spot, I issued my warning:

"HEY! Whoever over there is throwing these cans better cut it out. I hope you know that this is an apartment complex over this fence! I'm all for a little bit of late-night fun... but when it nearly breaks a window, It's becomes stupidity! I have two young kids here. If you break my windows and hurt my kids, there will be hell to pay! ...... If ONE MORE CAN hits my apartment, I am calling the authorities."

I didn't hear a peep from the 'soda-pop-bandit' for the rest of the night...

TONIGHT: HE STRUCK AGAIN!!!

... but this time I had a cell phone and called a police officer immediately! I wasnt gonna wait till there was damage to get something on record.

Right after I got of the phone with the dispatcher, Joe woke up. It was then I took the moment and started my STAKEOUT!

I turned off my backyard light and took my little step ladder to the wooden fence and looked over it. There are a ton of kids and adults over toward the 'school building'. Judging from the way the girls were dressed, it looked like a muslim youth group. So I climbed down and waited.. Low and behold, I saw four young men walking toward my fence... shaking a soda can the whole way. I waited and tryed to get my cellphone camara ready to take a picture. To bad it was too dark. So I did the next best thing... I waited.. untill they were right next to the fence. I heard one say:

".. andyou lookthrough the fence.."

That is when I popped up and told them...

"You better not be throwing those cans at my appartment"

Ohhhh the look on thier faces were PRICELESS!!!! Cought them red-handed... with a shiny red can of Coca-cola Classic!

"No~no~no, Im gonna drink this."

"Then go ahead and open it." I grinned, "Bet it is all shaken up and will blow up in your face."

"That's because I was walking with it."

That is where I call 'bullshit' ^_^;;, who in their right mind shakes a soda THAT much with the intention of drinking it? I contiued to interigate the one that sat there and insisted he had no involvement. That it was 'little kids' that was doing it.

"Boy, then those little kids have been blessed with a HELL of an arm." I told him "This chain-length fence is high and my apartment is a decent distance from the fence."

I got his name and told him that he better spread the word because I DO have a deputy on his way.

I even got A NAME.. weather it was really his name, who knows.. Jawaar 'something or orther'....... Damn middle eastern names are so hard for me. I made it clear that he wouldn't want someone tossing cans through his window and harming a member of his family... He didn't know what to do with himself -evil giggle-

The deputy got here and looked around and I told him all of the above. He thought it was funny.

"You would think they would LIKE that stuff.. not throwing it around." He was interesting. He said he will go over there and make his presence known.. and if it happens again, to call.

Don't worry, Deputy Bellahmey, I sure will! Thank you Law&Order for the ninja skills! And who said T.V. rots your brain?
