Back In School!?: Senshi's Guild to Mouse's First Day

I think I handled myself well..

The Mouse is starting school this year. Yeah, 5 years have already come and gone. So weird!

We went to her Open house and got some really neat pictures. I liked that over taking her to the studio to get them done. This way, it has her desk, school in the background, all that importaint stuff!! I know by the end of the visit, she was ready to kill my camera he~he. We gathered up some of the forms needed so I can have them filled out ahead of time and got her familar with the way to get back and forth from the bus ramp and class. After walking around she was caught by piano music and drifted into the
music room where that teacher was playing! Nice to know that she has an appriciation for music so early. (.. and not just Lady Gaga.. whom she is a HUGE fan!) Also, I found it cool that they do the buses by COLOR rather then NUMBER so it is easy to group up the kids and have them remember a color. They also have a little tag on their book bag with thier class, grade, bus, bus stop, EVERYTHING. Holy crap!! At least I don't have to worry about her toooo~ much.

Took her to school the very first day. Walked her to the class and got her settled and headed to the media center where they had a 'boo-woo' breakfast for mothers dropping off kindergardeners. It was really nice. All the PTA ladies were trying to enlist me.
Apparently, they can use a photographer for the 'memory book'. -.-; It would be good event photography experiance... and it might be fun. It would all depend on work schedule. If they need me at the studio on the weekends and these events are ON weekends.. that might not work so well. I will have to see...

I called Joe at lunch time, since that was when the Mouse was due to be at the bus stop. Poor thing. He hated waiting... but I know he rather do that then have her walk alone. "I didn't even like waiting for the bus when I was in school!" he commented... but I didn't like getting up so early, but guess who does that... MR.MAN.... yep.. little-ol-me!

At first, she didn't get off the bus. he had to ask the bus driver if she was there and tell her that she was a kindergardener. She was sitting RIGHT BEHIND the driver. I guess the poor thing was spaced out.

She got home safe, she loved her day... but it looks like we will have to find an earlier bed time.... FOR BOTH OF US!
