Ouran Girls!: Busch Gardens Edition

The outing was AWSOME!!! I would totally do it again....

The day started at home. I woke the girls up, got them dressed and packed up with everything we would need. Shortly after that, Widget pops over with a hot topic bag. O.o .... Right? What could it be!? She bought me those pink kitty headphones!! Take a look! This is a picture she took of me and dressed it up for her blog:

Is that not the most awesome thing ever? I vowed to get her back. Any of my friends know that I like to make sure they are taken care of too when I get gifts from them. Sometimes, it can become a hell-o-va gift war! So the war started. We packed up the car with my two little munkins in tow to the nearest IHOP (after I pulled out cash at the bank ^_^) I had
these AMAZING Cheesecake pancakes. Mouse was eating like her namesake and was to excited about going to the our trip to eat. That was fine, Tot-zilla ate most of sissy's breakfast for her, HAPPILY.

We maybe took a bit longer in IHOP then originally planned, but that was all good. I paid the bill.. PAYBACK for the headphones.. At that point, even on the gift war ^_^;;
Besides, her portion was not much at all.. I think the whole bill was $32 after the tip.. (and I didn't give that great of a tip since the server really made no effort to check on us and I sat with an empty glass of soda for most of our stay there. Oh well. We were well fed and ready for the day!

We got our picture taken when we walked in and got a card to go check it out at the end of the day. I love those things! I have a number of them floating around my house. Then, we walked through the Myombe Reserve. That is were they have a lot of there gorillas and chimps. It's a BEAUTIFUL set up and very nice to walk through. I should have taken more pictures. FAIL. After we got out, they had a booth there with drinks and little trinkets. Widget and I both bought some really AWESOME water bottles that have a fan on the top.. so you can spray yourself with water and use the fan at the same time to mist yourself and feel cooler. IT WORKED WELL! I say about 10 degrees cooler. Especially when you put ice in with the water. That way, it stays Ice Cold!

After that, we decided to take turns riding a roller coaster. I haven't rode one in nearly 5 years. (since Mouse was born).... no.. wait... I rode Everest at Disney when Mouse was only a baby... so maybe 3-4 years. STILL. Long time.. They just opened one called "Cheetah Hunt". It was AWESOME. I texted Widget the whole time to let her know where I was in line and then it was her turn to go on it. While we waited, Mouse played in the sand pit while I tried to get Tot-Zilla to calm herself and maybe sleep. After that, we walked through 'Edge of Africa'. Saw a male Lion sleeping and Widget compared him to R (her boyfriend) ^_^;; of course, his rear was facing us and saw the opertunity to toss in a puny-joke.

Next, it was lunch time. The usual place I got food from was closed, so we went into 'Jungala' and got similar food and found refuge where the tiger viewing area was. We sat in the AC and ate while the tigers were in full view. That kept Mouse and Tot-zilla entertained. We had this weird creepy guy standing over Widget for a time there.. but other then that it was cool.
Then, we headed toward Shikra, but after a potty-break, a 10 min wait became a 45 min wait. Bummer. Oh well, Next time!!

That is when the sky was looking like it was going to take a dump on us. CRAP! So, we went over to the 'Safari of Fun'. It is always the last thing I do there because it is ALWAYS hard to get
Mouse out of there unless they are kicking us out of the park. She was thrilled to have someone to wonder around the treehouse with her for once. Normally, I have to tell her no because I have to be down on the ground with the 'zilla-monster. After that, we were going to let her bounce around in the bounce house... but they closed due to the rain.

We headed to the 'Bird Gardens' where they had a show starting in a few moment that had domesticated animals and some wild ones doing tricks. After the show, we headed back and the bounce house was back up and running. We let her play in that for a good long while, then we went to the rides. After a short shut down, Mouse rode some rides alone while Me and Widget took turns taking advantage of Tot-Zilla being able to sit up! We rode the rides that you can only get on if you were accompanying a baby.

Finally, after some resistance from Mouse, we made our way out. First, we went in and Widget bought some fudge for us. Then, we went and chipped in for our photograph. (I need to scan it and post it. It came out sooo cute! Afterward, we swung over to pizza hut for some pizza and breadsticks to bring home for dinner. It was an extremely productive and exciting day for everyone.. and I had no issues falling asleep.

  1. Another awesome post! I had such a wonderful time! And don't think that the girls chased me away to do this again because they didn't! After all, they're just kids and doing kid things! :) I'm waiting to get some money so I can get a nice frame for our pictures! Maybe we should hunt a frame down together?!
