We have a new addition to the family
Meet Rukia!

She came into our lives in a weird way. After shopping, Mouse pointed out that there was a cat in the tree infront of our house. There was, indeed a very young kitten up there. (not extreamly young.. but still little.) I know I have seen a hawk roaming our back yard, and the way she was laying suggested that maybe she was a leftover meal. She had her front paws hanging over one side and her hine legs over the other. Her tail was waving with the soft breeze. I called up to her and she woke and responded. I was releaved that she wasnt chow and started to bring the groceries in. By the time that I got all the stuff inside, she had moved to a branch low enough that I could grab her. I picked her up and slowly brought her into the house. She was so cute! and she was starving! Poor thing! I spoiled her with milk and sliced ham before bringing her in to show my hubby. I KNEW he wouldnt turn her away.
in October, we lost a cat that was very dear to us. His name was Ichigo, and he was a half manx that we adopted into the family as Mouse's 4th birthday present. My husband never tears up over an animal... but Ichigo (named after the main character of the anime "Bleach". His picture above.) was the exception. He was even tearing up over a picture of him earlier last week.. This cat use to greet my husband at the door like a dog, sleep with him, and had a 'lovable idiot' sort of persona. We miss him a lot around here.
So, what do I do? I had to show him this little girl. As I suspected, he let us keep her and we paid the pet fee for the appartment right away. We don't like to make waves. An agreement is an agreement and all. I ran back to the store and picked up some food and a litter box for little Rukia. She is happily sleeping and trying to get use to the new home. she seems to love the hubby. Me, she is good with. Even Mouse she is good with. Tot-zilla seems to make her nervous though. She will get use to her, though.

Awesome blog post! Great pictures too!
